Rule 1 __ कुछ Noun के Singular और Plural दोनों एक जैसे ही होते है। इनका number इनके साथ प्रयुक्त होने वाले verb से होता है।
जैसे __ Sheep, deer, swine, etc .

Rule 2 __यदि score (कोड़ी = 20 ) , hundred , thousand, dozen , ( दर्जन ) के पूर्व संख्या होती है तो 'S' नहीं लगाया जाता है। लेकिन यदि उनके पूर्व संख्या नहीं होता है, तो PLURAL बनाने के लिए 'S' का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
EXAMPLES ___
I bought three dozen mangoes .
My brother send me five thousand rupees .
My friend gave him ten kg apple .
Juned stolen three hundred rupees .
इन सभी वाक्यों में score (कौड़ी ) दिया गया है इसीलिए यहाँ hundred , thousand, dozen में 's ' नहीं लगाया गया है।
Thousands of persons gathered here .
Thousands of dog are eating food .
Dozen of seats are vacant .
इन सभी वाक्यों में score (कौड़ी ) दिया गया है इसीलिए यहाँ hundred , thousand, dozen में 's ' लगाया गया है और उसके बाद of का प्रयोग किया गया है।
Rule 3 __ कुछ NOUN देखने में SINGULAR लगते है लेकिन अर्थ में PLURAL होते है , इसलिए इनके बाद PLURAL VERB का प्रयोग करना चाहिए।
जैसे __ PEOPLE , CATTLE , POULTRY ,(घरेलू मुर्गी , बतख , आदि ) VERMIN (अन्न इत्यादि को हानि पहुंचाने वाले कीड़ी ) GENTLY , PUBLIC MILITARY , इनमे 'S ' का प्रयोग नहीं किया जाता है।

The gently of this town are not invited . Correct .
The gentlies of this town are not invited . incorrect .
